Lead Conversion UI
1. Enable Lead Conversion:
If you check 'Enable Conversion', leads will be converted. If not checked, no lead conversion will happen.
2. Convert Lead On Insertion:
When this option is selected, all leads will be converted without any criteria upon insertion or update.
3. Conversion Criteria:
When this option is selected, leads will be converted upon creation or update if they match the defined conversion criteria.
Conditions can be added to specify when a lead should be converted:
Lead Fields: All lead fields will be displayed here.
Operator: Displays logical operators based on the selected lead field (e.g., 'Equals,' 'Not Equals,' 'Contains,' 'Starts With,' 'Ends With').
Value: Input field showing options according to the lead field's data type (e.g., True/False dropdown for a Boolean field like 'Deleted').
4. Condition:
Users can choose from three options:
All of the conditions are met (AND): Multiple row criteria are applied with an AND logical condition (e.g., 'lastname != null AND title = 'Head'').
All of the conditions are met (OR): Multiple row criteria are applied with an OR logical condition (e.g., 'lastname != null OR title = 'Head'').
Custom Logic: Users can enter custom logic for more complex conditions (e.g., '1 OR (2 AND 3)', where 1, 2, 3 are placeholders for conversion criteria).
5. Custom Logic:
If the 'Custom Logic' option is selected, a custom logic input box will appear, allowing users to enter any custom logic based on the added conditions.
6. Status:
Lead Status is required for conversion during lead conversion.
7. Opportunity Contact Role:
After lead conversion, the opportunity contact role will be inserted or updated based on the selected 'Create New Opportunity' option.
Never: No opportunity will be created during lead conversion.
Always: An opportunity will always be created during lead conversion.
Only if no open opportunity exists on the account: Opportunity contact roles will be set only on existing opportunities that do not have any open opportunities on the account.
8. Create New Opportunity:
Users can select when to create a new opportunity during lead conversion:
Never: No opportunity will be created.
Always: An opportunity will always be created.
Only if no open opportunity exists on the account: Use existing opportunities on the account; do not create new opportunities.
9. Use Existing Contact For Conversion:
If this option is checked, the system will use an existing contact with the same email as the lead's email in the account. If unchecked, a new contact will be created.
Note: All Lead Conversion UI data will be saved in Lead Conversion Custom Setting.
